Art Heist

art_heistArt Heist is part art-exhibition, part Room Escape game. It is, in many ways, 2 different events.

It takes place at the Stirrup Gallery Marrickville
142 Addison Road Marrickville, Marrickville, New South Wales 2204

You can find the Facebook event here.

Event 1: See Art

The first event where you can see art is a traditional art exhibition full of beautiful paintings, photos and digital images. You can see the exhibition on opening night 17 February, and during the day between 10:30-5:00pm from 18-21 February.

You will see art by:

  • Amy Withnall (painting)
  • Rona Barugahare (painting)
  • Tom Dicker (photography)
  • Paul Sztajer (me!) (digital images)

Event 2: Steal Art

The second event where you can steal art is the Art Heist game. The aim of the game is to steal a specific painting and get out of the gallery in time. Those who succeed in stealing the painting receive a prize. Keep in mind that you will not be able to see any of the art in the exhibition when you play the Art Heist game, so make sure you come on opening night or during the day to see the art.

The game is for teams of 2-3 players and goes for one hour. There are only 12 sessions for the game, so get in quick. Each ticket is for the session (ie. the whole team) – you can buy tickets on this page shortly.

Unfortunately all tickets for the Art Heist game are sold out.

So come on down and see art, or steal art!
